“Photography Basics and Beyond” is a full day workshop(Sunday 30th July 2017) where you will learn all about your camera and concepts of photography. It’s beyond just learning manual mode and you will get hands-on practice to understand the concepts of photography, resulting in improved photography and less struggle with settings. I am sure after attending this, you will create photographs which you will be proud to share!

Q & A

Q. Do I need a DSLR to attend?

A DSLR camera or a camera that can operate in manual mode and has interchangeable lenses is required.

 

Q. How many lenses do I need?

One is essential, but you can carry all so that you will get hands on experience with more than one lens. If you have only one, then that makes your decision easier and it will be fine!

 

Q. How many people in a class?

There is a maximum of 10 participants per class.

 

Q. How much is the workshop?

This one day workshop is normally priced at $199 and runs from 9am-5pm. However, you can get a discount by booking early.

 

Q. Do I need to book a car park?

2 hour on road parking available around the venue, however, I would recommend parking your car in nearby Secure or Wilson car parking. The closest one would be on the corner of A'Beckett St and Queen St and will cost you less than $10 on weekend.

 

Q. Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for beginner to intermediate photography enthusiast.

 

Q. Can I bring my young baby?

No sorry. Unfortunately, babies cause too much distraction to you and others in the class. Breast-feeding moms may opt to have their partner visit the venue for the day with the baby and they can meet-up during our meal brakes which works well.

 

Q. Can you cater for dietary needs?

Yes of course! Please just enter any special requirements as a comment during the online booking process and I'm happy to pass these on to the caterers! Easy!

 

Q. What if I have to cancel?

No problem! Providing you let me know more than 48-hrs before the course starts, I'll be happy to either swap your booking into another person for free of charge, or refund you all but a $60 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit per person. If you cancel within 48-hrs (or simply don't show up) then you forfeit 100% of the payment because such short notice leaves me with no chance to try and resell your place to anyone else, and we'd have already paid for catering, venue hire, entry etc for you.

 

Q. Do you teach all camera brands?

Yes of course! All the theory is exactly the same across all brands, and I know the way around almost every brand of camera.
