Tanzania Wildlife and Birdlife Photography Tour

July 30, 2019 - August 5, 2019

| $200 - $7000
Roaring Leopard, Serengeti, Tanzania VMP-RLST-BW-O-1

About this workshop

Tanzania is iconic Africa, wildlife-rich habitat. The "Big Five" - African Animals found in Tanzania

Tanzania is also blessed with a great number and variety of birds within its borders.

Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value.

The workshop will not only visit Serengeti National Park but we will visit Manyara lake where bird habitat is diverse and we will get a chance to see it from close. We will also visit Ngorongoro Crater, which is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World, which has very different landscape than all another area.

The workshop will also aim to see migrating Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Antelope, Hippo, Elephant, and of course the Serengeti's famous big cats.

All in all, this safari will produce life-long memories and the images that you will enjoy years to come.

Its a dry season during July and August, these are the coldest months. Temperatures vary significantly per region and because of their difference in altitude. Daytime temperatures are usually around 23°C/73°F. Although we might get few early morning showers, they will dry up in a min or two,  the days are long with sunrise at approximately 6:40am and sunset around 6:50pm.

From the moment the exploration begins in Kilimanjaro until it ends 7 days later in Kilimanjaro, all costs are included – transportation in 4x4 with one person per row and maximum 3 people in a car, food, drinks (excluding alcoholic beverages), and luxury accommodation based on a twin sharing. If you have special dietary requirements, that will be accommodated - please make sure to advise when booking. Packed lunches will be taken in the field. 20170917-Serengati-Day3-Morning-31

Other things to consider

20170914-Namanga-Border-1Vaccinations

Make sure you meet your GP 4 to 6 weeks before and carry YELLOW fever vaccinations(Mandatory) card with you and also other various optional vaccinations.

Visa

You can apply online for Visa before you travel from your home country, or get visa on arrival for $50 USD cash.

Mobile Connection

If you are thinking of getting a mobile connection while you are in Tanzania, I would strongly suggest you to get Vodacom mobile as it has wide coverage for voice and internet and you should be able to get it at airport on arrival. I have personally used it and I can vouch for it.

Travel Insurance

I normally use my credit card insurance as it covers most of the things I need however in case you don’t have enough coverage then you can get World Nomads travel insurance.

Equipment Cover

For long telephoto lenses you will need to get special coverage and it won’t be covered in regular insurance. Please make sure to check the maximum value covered by your insurance in case you are depending on your regular Travel insurance to cover equipment.

Travel Adapter

Tanzania use G type adapter so please bring G type to your home country type adapter and may be extension board so that you can connect multiple devices.
