For the horse racing fanatic and casual punter alike, there’s no greater occasion than the Melbourne Cup. One of the world’s richest horse races, the meet is run at Flemington on the first Tuesday in November. Known around the country as ‘the race that stops a nation’ the cup attracts more than 100,000 punters and is the highlight of the Spring Racing Carnival.
And after the hard work, every horse deserves a break, and these are brought to beach for a short walk which refreshes their minds…
I was lucky to get such a wonderful bonding between the jockey and the horse in the morning sunlight…
