The night the Blue Moon illuminated the sky, I headed to Lake Eppalock (between the city of Bendigo and the town of Heathcote) in Victoria, Australia.

The night was cold and I was surprised how calm the water was as it reflected such a powerful visage of the Blue Moon. The glow of the moon brightened the otherwise dark, dead trees and contrasting lively hills in the background.

After an hour, temperature dropped and the wind turned my hands to ice, numbing them until I couldn’t feel my fingers. Although I struggled to press the buttons, I was lucky enough to snap a few shots just before the moon vanished behind the clouds.
